HEALTH OFFICER
JAIPUR

The incumbent will contribute to the overall effort of UNICEF India country programme implementation at state level within the framework of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) and other state level social schemes. He/she will be responsible for providing technical assistance to state government and other strategic partners in planning, implementation, and monitoring of high impact evidence based interventions for improved maternal and adolescent health services and prevention of parent to child transmission (PPTCT). Minimum Requirements: University degree in one of the following areas: Medicine, Public Health, International Health, Health Policy & Management. Epidemiology, Health Education, Health Promotion and Disease Prevention or a field relevant to public health development assistance. In depth understanding and knowledge of the maternal, newborn and child health and development & nutrition sectors an advantage. At least two years’ of relevant professional work experience at national/state level in programme development, monitoring and implementation of primary health care programmes including experience in field-based implementation.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
(TRAINING & STAFF DEVELOPMENT)-DELHI

The incumbent will be responsible to provide Human Resource Development (HRD) services to staff of UNICEF India Country Office in a timely, reliable and consistent manner in order to ensure that the Office has a human resources base with required qualifications and motivation to achieve its objectives. He/she will assist in the delivery of training and other HRD services to Sections in New Delhi and Field Offices. Minimum Requirements: University degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, International Relations or Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources. At least two years’ of relevant professional work experience in Human Resources and Training with a particular focus on Staff Development. Prior experience of working in the above-mentioned professional area in an international organization an advantage.

PLANNING, MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER, Guwahati
Under the supervision of the Chief, Field Office, the incumbent will be required to provide technical support both to the field office as well as the state government for the accomplishment of the defined key-end results. He/she will be responsible for providing professional expertise and assistance in information/data collection, statistics and data analysis and monitoring & evaluation systems for assigned programmes.
Minimum Requirements: University degree in one of the following areas: Social Sciences, Development Planning, Evaluation, Survey Implementation and Statistical Research. At least two years’ of relevant professional work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation.

PROGRAMME OFFICER, Delhi
Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Country Representative, the incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the Senior Management including the Representative, Deputy Representatives and Chief, Field Services in the areas of organizing the Country Management Team meetings, planning support to policy development and quality assurance of public engagements, speeches and presentations, etc.
Minimum Requirements: University degree in Public Affairs, International Relations, Social Sciences, Communication or other related discipline. At least two years’ of relevant professional and managerial work experience at the national level in external relations, programme management and/or multilateralism. International experience would be an asset.

PROGRAMME SPECIALIST (GOVERNANCE)
Under the guidance of the Chief, Policy, Planning and Evaluation (PPE), the incumbent will be responsible for decentralization for children’s rights including the coordination of two major initiatives related to improving the status of women and children in India according with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This includes the conceptualisation of the roll out in the new UNICEF support districts as well as consolidation and advocacy for tested approaches in the integrated districts.
Minimum qualification & experience required: Masters’ degree in Social Sciences, Development Planning, Statistics or related technical fields, preferably with training and specialization in research and evaluation methodologies. Eight years of progressively responsible professional work experience at national level in planning, monitoring and evaluation of large national programmes with emphasis on strategic planning and district based interventions. Experience with, and understanding of, government systems, procedures and processes at all levels (especially district) will be an added advantage.

PROGRAMME MANAGER, PATNA

The incumbent will also coordinate the convergent district interventions of different programmes for piloting and demonstrating results for subsequent scale-up across the State.

Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Chief, Health, the incumbent will be responsible for technical advice to the Government counterparts (MOHFW, MWCD, DBT) within the framework of the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) or its successor program under the XII Five Year Plan as well as support in the provision of technical advisory services to the UNICEF Field Offices.

Minimum Requirements: University degree in medicine (MBBS) with an advanced university degree in any of the following: Medicine (e.g. MD, Pediatrics), Public Health, Social Sciences, Health Management, or other fields related to the work of UNICEF. At least eight years of progressively responsible professional work experience in health policy and programming, maternal, neonatal and child health, immunization, public health, pediatrics, social development, health and nutrition programme management and monitoring & evaluation.
