EDUCATION SPECIALISTGANDHINAGAR
The incumbent plays a critical role in supporting the Government of Gujarat in achieving the goal of Universal Elementary Education (Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan). He/She will be responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Education Programme in Gujrat with a view to increasingly play a knowledge management and policy advocacy role. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree from a recognized university in any of the following fields: Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, International Relations, Public Health, or other fields related to the work of UNICEF. At least Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in the planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of Education Programmes at state and district level.

NUTRITION SPECIALISTBHOPAL / LUCKNOW
The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating and influencing the State Government’s policy, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, for the Child Development and Nutrition Programme at the State and District level. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree from a recognized university in any of the following fields: Public Health & Nutrition, Health Sciences. International Health & Nutrition, Family Health & Nutrition, Nutritional Epidemiology, Health & Nutrition Education. Public Health, Health Emergency Preparedness, or other fields related to the work of UNICEF. At least Five years progressively responsible professional work experience in the planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of Child Development and Nutrition Programmes at state and district level.

Qualifications: Master’s degree from a recognised university in Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, or other relevant disciplines with specialized training in conflict resolution.

Experience: Minimum eight years of relevant professional work experience. Field work experience required. Background/familiarity with Emergency desirable.

Health Officer (Immunization)
Location: Lucknow Closing Date: 14 May 2013
You will be responsible for technical assistance in strengthening routine immunization programme in the state, including planning, implementation and monitoring, with particular attention to focus districts.

Qualifications: University degree from a recognised university in Medicine, Health, Public Health, Family Health, Child Development, or a field relevant to international development assistance in Immunization and Child Survival & Health Care. In-depth understanding and knowledge of the maternal, new-born and child health and development and nutrition sectors.

Experience: Minimum two years of relevant professional work experience in programme development, monitoring and implementation of primary health care programmes including experience in field-based implementation. Experience in knowledge management training and experience in social welfare, or immunization/health care.

Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
Location: Bhopal Closing Date: 14 May 2013
You will be responsible for providing support to the field office in the area of Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation as well as providing inputs in the development of monitoring and evaluation systems in support of the cooperation between UNICEF and the state government.

Qualifications: University degree from a recognised university in Social Sciences, Development Planning, Planning, Evaluation, Survey Implementation or Advanced Statistical Research.

Experience: Minimum two years of relevant professional work experience in programme development and implementation including monitoring and evaluation, with exposure in emergency programming, including preparedness planning and active involvement in a humanitarian crisis response programme.

Child Protection Officer
Location: Gandhinagar Closing Date: 14 May 2013
You will be responsible for project implementation and monitoring; data collection and analysis; advocacy; and progress reporting on child protection activities as articulated project: “Promoting Protection and Education Rights of Children in Cotton Areas in Gujarat”, supported by IKEA. The thrust of the work will be to promote effective programming to address child labour at state and district level. In addition, the Child Protection Officer will provide technical advice to the Department of Women & Child Development (DWCD), Social Justice and Labour departments with regard to planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) and promotion of the protective environment for children.

Qualifications: University degree from a recognised university in Social Sciences, Law or Child Development with a particular emphasis on child protection issues. Knowledge of, and training in, protection of children against exploitation/child labour will be an added advantage.

Experience: Minimum two years relevant professional work experience in project management in the development sector, including field work with rural communities and interactions with institutions at state, district, and sub-district level, preferably focused on child labour or other child protection issues.
