Banking sector in India is poised for a high trajectory growth with prospects for a bright career to thousands of new entrants. Here is a unique opportunity for aspirants for a career in 19 Public Sector Banks through a Single Common Examination. The system of common examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees posts has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India. A Common Written Examination (CWE) will be conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees posts in the Public Sector Banks mentioned below. IBPS, an autonomous body registered under Societies Registration Act 1860 and a Public Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, has been authorised by IBA and has received mandates from the 19 Public Sector Banks listed below to conduct the Common Written Examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees posts twice a year. |

| Successful candidates in the CWE will be issued scorecards and may apply to any of the participating banks they wish to by quoting their personal details and their CWE scores, subject to meeting with eligibility criteria as and when Individual banks call for applications. Each Participant Bank will issue individual recruitment notifications, specifying vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each of the tests and on Total Weighted Score (if any) etc. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The detailed advertisement stipulating the procedure for payment of application fee and applying online/ eligibility criteria, structure of Written Examination, issuance of call letters and scorecards along with other details is available on IBPS‘s website www.ibps.in. and in Employment News / Rozgar Samachar Candidates are advised to remain in touch with IBPS‘s website for any information which may be put for further guidance. Successful candidates in the CWE will be issued scorecards and may apply to any of the participating banks by quoting their personal details and their CWE scores, subject to meeting the stipulated eligibility criteria of individual banks as and when they call for applications. It must be noted that each participating Public Sector Bank will independently issue a separate recruitment notification, specifying their vacancies and stipulating the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualification, proficiency in Official Language of the State/UT for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply, experience (if any), minimum required level of IBPS score in each test and Total Score if any etc. |

The Common Written Examination for recruitment of Probationary Officers / Management Trainees in 19 PSBs will be held on 18.09.2011. Candidates are advised to download Call Letters for the Written Examination and Information Handout from IBPS website www.ibps.in, in case you have not already done so. Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the Common Written Examination without the following documents (1) Call Letter with photograph affixed thereon (2) Original fee payment receipt (NEFT Receipt/ e-receipt) (3) Original photo-Identity proof such as PAN Card / Passport / Driving Licence / Voter’s Card / Bank Passbook with photograph / Photo identity proof issued by a Gazzetted Officer / People’s Representative (4) Photocopy of photo-identity proof (as specified above) |
