RECRUITMENT OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS / MANAGEMENT TRAINEES ‘ IN PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS With reference to the advertisement released by IBPS and published in Employment News dated 17-23 March 2012, for the Second Common Written Examination for recruitment of POs/MTs (CWE-PC7 MT-II) in Public Sector Banks (PSBs), IBPS has been authorised by the Competent Authorities to conduct Common Written Examination (CWE) and coordinate holding of Common Interview by Participating Public Sector Banks. IBPS has declared the results of the Common Written Examination on its website www.ibps.in and all the candidates who have been declared successful in CWE PO/MT-II will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by Banks. The interviews are scheduled from the middle of January 2013. An email and sms intimation regarding the date, time and centre of Common Interview will be sent to candidates to the details specified by the candidate in the online application form while registering for CWE PO/ MT-II. Candidates are also advised to regularly keep in touch with the (BPS website for updates. Candidates will be required to download their call letters from IBPS website in the first week of January 2013. Please note that any request regarding change in date, centre etc. of interview will not be entertained. However the right to change the date/ venue/ time/ centre etc. of interview by the conducting agencies is reserved. IBPS will subsequently declare the result of Common Interview and will issue a notification giving the vacancies in Participating PSBs. The order of preference of banks will be obtained from successful candidates through a registration process which will be available on IBPS website.’ Candidates, successful in both the CWE-PO/MT-II and Common Interview will be listed in the order of merit. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/ her preference, a successful candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from one of the Participating PSBs. Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the remaining candidates, through subsequent iterations. Please note that the eligibility criteria specified in our above referred advertisement published in Employment News are the basic criteria for applying for the post. Candidates must necessarily produce the relevant documents in support of their identity and eligibility pertaining to nationality, age, educational qualifications, qualifying marks, category etc. Merely applying for CWE/ appearing for and qualifying in the examination and/or in the subsequent interview does not imply that a candidate will necessarily be offered employment in any of the Participating PSBs.

COMMON WRITTEN EXAMINATION [OWE] FOR RECRUITMENT OF SPECIALIST OFFICERS IN PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS The Indian Banking sector offers opportunities for a career in specialized fields. The 2nd Common Written Examination (CWE SPL-II) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for the following Specialist cadre posts in the Public Sector Banks will be conducted online by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) tentatively in March 2013.
* Subject to vacancy requirement in Participating Banks Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Public Sector Banks listed below as an Officer in one of the Specialist Officers’ posts mentioned above, is required to clear the Common Written Examination (CWE). Candidates who qualify in CWE SPL-II, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be co-ordinated by IBPS. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, candidate will receive through a computerised system an offer from one of the Participating Public Sector Banks listed below. This system of Common Written Examination and Common Interview for recruitment of Specialist Officers in Participating PSBs has the approval of the appropriate authorities.
