Vice-Chancellor Job Vacancy at Bengaluru North University

1. The Government of Karnataka invites applications for the selection of Vice-Chancellor of Bengaluru North University, Kolar as per sec. 14(2) of Karnataka State University Act, 2000 from eligible and distinguished Academicians/Professors with following credentials

1. A person of the highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment;
2. A distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years’ of experience as Professor in a University or ten years’ of experience in a reputed research and / or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership;
3. As provided in the sec 14(5) and 14(6) of Karnataka State University Act, 2000, the Vice-Chancellor shall, subject to the pleasure of the Chancellor, hold the office for a maximum period of 4 years or until he attains the age of Sixty Seven years whichever is earlier. Consequently, a person to be appointed as Vice Chancellor shall have clear four years of tenure.

2. Persons interested in submitting their candidacy for the Vice-Chancellor of Bengaluru North University, should make hard copies of the application in triplicate duly filled along with the academic, research credentials and administrative experience, achievements & other details in the proforma prescribed by the UGC within 15 days at the latest from the date of publication of this advertisement, to:- Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, 6th Floor, Gate No:02, M.S. 3. Single soft copy of the application in PDF format should be mailed to e-mail: k9sheduni2020@gmail.com

4. In support of unblemished career and undoubted integrity, the applicant who is retired from service, should file a self attested certificate to the effect that no departmental/criminal enquiry is instituted/pending against him or no enquiry is culminated in penalties and he is neither having the tainted service history nor the appointment dispute. Whereas, in case of applicant in service, he should file a certificate of his employer in this regard. The concerned will be subjected to stringent action if certificates are found to be false. Further, the applications not accompanying the above mentioned certificates will not be considered and processed

5. The application proforma is available on the website of Bengaluru North University, Kolar.

6. Incomplete applications and applications received after the stipulated time limit will not be entertained. This office is not responsible for postal or other kinds of delays.

7. The candidature of those who indulge in undue influencing on the selection process through unethical means will stand cancelled.
