The Vice-Chancellor shall be the academic and administrative head of the University and hence is expected to have proven leadership qualities as well as outstanding teaching and research credentials. He/she should be a distinguished academician, with a minimum of ten years’ of experience as Professor in a University or ten years’ of experience in a reputed research and / or academic administrative organisation with proof of having demonstrated academic leadership. The Search Committee may also approach eligible candidates whose application or nomination has not been received.

Earlier advertisement dated 25 September 2019 (Times Ascent) on the above position stands cancelled due to administrative reasons. Candidates who had applied in response to the earlier advertisement need not re-apply.
