The Sponsoring Body received the University status through Government Order GO Ms No 81, Higher Education Department (K2) Dt 26.02.2021, Government of Tamil Nadu . The University intends to establish world class infrastructure to facilitate Medical, Dental, Paramedical, Nursing and Agriculture education through its campuses in the State. Sri Venkateswaraa Medcity is a 300 beds Medical College hospital owned by the University.
