Nehru Group of Institutions (NIG) was established in 1968 in Kuniamuthur, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. NIG was set up with the objective of providing higher education in the field of Aeronautical Engineering to the students of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. However, gradually NIG expanded and started offering undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) courses in other engineering branches and other streams such as Management, Arts, Science, Paramedical Sciences and Hospitality.
