Reservation for women will be as per University Circular No. BCC/16/74/1998 dated 10th March, 1998 & persons with disability will be as per University Circular No. Special Cell/ICC/2019-20/05 dated 05th July, 2019.
Candidates having knowledge of Marathi will be preferred.
The pay-scale for the post of Principal is as prescribed by the UGC, Government of Maharashtra & University of Mumbai from time to time.
The appointment for the post of Principal is a tenure post of five years or till the age of superannuation whichever is earlier.

The required minimum qualifications for the post of Principal is as follows:-

Eligibility:

• Ph D degree
• Professor / Associate Professor with a total service / experience of at least fifteen years of teaching / research in Universities, Colleges and other institutions of higher education.
• A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC listed journals; and
• A minimum of 110 research score as per Appendix II, Table 2 of the Government Resolution.

Tenure:
A College Principal shall be appointed for a period of 5 years, extendable for another term of five years on the basis of performance assessment by a Committee appointed by the University, constituted as per these Rules.
