Goethe Institut  Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata is looking for a Technician in Media Technology Volume of employment: 50% (20h / week) Pay according to local pay scheme of Coethe-lnstitut India.

We are looking for a committed colleague, initially till 31.12.2020, subsequently to be made permanent, starting ideally from 01.05.2019.

Job Description:

•  Providing hands on technical support for all events (sound, light, digital projection, props, etc.)
• Maintenance of smart boards
• Maintenance of all technical equipment incl. cooling systems and technical installations on a regular basis
• Providing support in liaison with firms in the maintenance of services and equipment eg. telephone, photocopy machine, metal detector, etc.
• Providing support in acquiring new technical equipment
• Execution of other related duties

Requirements:-

•  Fluency in spoken English. Bengali and Hindi (working knowledge of German is desirable)
•   Ability to undertake minor repairs of equipment
•   Good communication skills and ability for team work.
•   Ability to prioritize delegated work
•   Ability to keep routine records and make reports
•   Time Management and workload planning skills
•   Flexibility and readiness to work at odd hours and under pressure
•   Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
•   Willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training
