Virginia Tech India is looking for four postdoctoral fellows/research scientists. The Postdoctoral Fellow will conduct original research in the areas including, but not limited to:
• State-of-the- art research in the synthesis and application of graphene and its derivatives (graphene-x) for a variety of applications including thermal management, carbon capture, and sensor development.
•** Modelling and demonstration of self-powered sensors and energy harvesters using piezoelectric and magneto electric materials.
• Modelling and demonstration of thermal energy harvesters for large scale energy production.
Salary: 1 lakh / per month for the right candidature.
Qualifications: Ph.D degree from a reputed university/institute in Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Demonstrated experience and ability to conduct laboratory experiments, with minimal supervision and with the utmost regard to safety is required.
* Ph.D degree in materials science and engineering or mechanical engineering with experience in some of the topical areas including energy harvesting, computational modelling, multiscale modelling techniques, functional composites, piezoelectrics, magneto electrics, fabrication and characterization of large area energy harvesting modules, thermoelectrics, thermomagnetics, and measurement techniques.
