– The Vice Chancellor should be a distinguished academician having highest level of competence, integrity, morals and commitment to nurturing and promoting excellence in teaching and research in the University. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years of experience as professor in a University system or ten years of experience in an equivalent position in a reputed research or academic-administrative organization. Vice Chancellor shall hold office for a term of five years or till he/she attains the age of sixty-five years, whichever is earlier.
– The nomination shall be made by persons of academic eminence. People with highest level of academic excellence, exposure to the higher education system in the country and abroad, and an adequate experience in academic and administrative governance may also apply directly.
