Call for Applications/ Nominations for the position of Vice Chancellor, West Bengal State University
West Bengal State University is a six year old University in the State of West Bengal and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) under UGC Schedule 2f. A ‘Search Committee’ constituted by H.E. the Governor of West Bengal for appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the University is seeking applications/nominatjons with the intent of initiating the search process, for consideration of the said position.
Eminent academicians with proven track record having competence both in administration and in nurturing as well as promoting excellence in teaching and research, with ten years of experience in the University System (at least 5 years as Professor) or ten years of experience in a reputed research or academic organization (at least 5 years in a post equivalent to that of a Professor) can apply or be nominated by present or former Vice Chancellors of State and Central Universities, Heads of academic and research institutions and eminent scholars.
