Velammal Educational Trust, established in 1986 with just 183 children & 13 staff, has been growing by leaps and bounds which now educates 70,000 students and employs 5,000 dedicated staff through its educational institutions in Chennai, Madurai, Sivagangai, Theni & Karur in Tamil Nadu. Keeping up with its tradition, Velammal has embarked into offering quality education in medical profession as well, by starting a medical college hospital at Madurai sprawling over 40 acres of land. The 2100 bed Velammal Medical College Hospital & Research Institute (VMCHRI) with full infrastructure has already been commissioned.
