University of Jammu is a premier University in the State of Jammu and Kashmir and is an institution of excellence in higher learning and research- The ‘Search Committee’ constituted by the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University for the appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the University is seeking nominations/applications with an intent to widen the search process.
Careers for Vice Chancellor in University of Jammu
The Vice Chancellor, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to be:
i) A visionary with proven leadership qualities and reputed academician with proven administrative acumen and ability,
ii) Having outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience as a Professor in a University system or in an
equivalent position in a reputed research and/or academic/ administrative organization,
iii) Not more than 62 years of age as on 1st January 2015.
Nomination can be made by any present or former Vice Chancellor of State or Central University, Head of any reputed academic and research institution or any eminent person. Application with full curriculum vitae or Nomination (duly signed by the nominator) along with the candidate’s full curriculum vitae may be forwarded/sent to the Registrar, University of Jammu, B. R. Ambedkar Road, Jammu, 180006, India within 3 weeks from the date of advertisement Nominations/applications can be forwarded electronically (e-mail: search.juvc@gmail.com) and /or by post in an envelope clearly marked, “Nomination/application for Vice Chancellor’s position”.
