Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute invites Applications for the post of Director
The Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI) has been waging a war against cancer on different fronts – prevention, timely detection, cutting edge treatment, research and education. One of India’s largest cancer hospitals with 650 beds, nearly 27,000 newly diagnosed patients and over 2.80 lac patients are treated each year at GCRI.
A Regional Cancer Centre recognized by the Government of India, 80,000 patients receive radiation treatment, 46,000 patients undergo chemotherapy, over 20,000 surgeries and more than 15 lac laboratory tests are conducted each year at GCRI. Set up in 1972, GCRI is an autonomous body jointly managed by the Government of Gujarat and the Gujarat Cancer Society.
We invite Oncology Specialists with a post graduate degree or a higher qualification and a minimum of 15-20 years of work experience in a reputed cancer institute in India or abroad to join us as Director, GCRI. Prior experience in Hospital Administration is desirable.
The candidate will head GCRI and be responsible for the overall operations of the institution. This full time position will also include formulating, planning and implementing processes and initiatives for overall quality patient care in clinical & para clinical branches and also oversee the clinical research & academic programme of the institute to achieve its overall objectives.
The ideal candidate would be below 50 years of age. In exceptional cases, the age limit will be relaxed to 55 years. Compensation shall commensurate with the experience of the candidate.
