The British School is a private, not-for-profit, international school for 3-18 year olds. We have about 700 students from around 55-60 nationalities. Accredited by the Council of International Schools, we offer high quality education based on the National Curriculum of England, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. We need experienced and highly skilled teachers a nd professionals from good private and international schools for the following posts: Deputy Principal (Secondary School) Deputy Principal (Primary School) The successful candidates will necessarily have a proven track record in senior or middle management, excellent organisational and management skills and proven ability to raise standards. A post graduate qualification from a reputable university, previous leadership experience in a leading school and a strong academic background will be essential. Candidates should apply with a letter of application clearly outlining their personal educational philosophy. Full time teacher (3 posts) Psychology, English and Spanish (to teach across the secondary school including Years 7-9, IGCSE and IBDP) Part-time teacher of Drama and University & College Guidance Counsellor (Secondary School) Essential qualifications for all teaching positions: . * post graduate in the relevant specialism. . * teaching qualification/degree. * minimum of 5 years teaching experience (with upper secondary students) in a reputed school. * excellent spoken and written English. * experience of teaching in an international school offering the IGCSE/IBcurriculum will be an added advantage * for University and College Guidance Counsellor minimum 3 years experience in the field of university and college counselling is essential; experience of working in a school setting will be an advantage. Guidance Counsellor for the secondary school (for students aged 11-18 years) Qualified Guidance Counsellor preferably with a Master’s degree in Psychology and certification in school counselling with a minimum of 2 years experience of working in leading schools. All full time positions will be offered a three year renewable contract and part-time positions will be offered a one year renewable contract. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
