SVCE, is a premier engineering college instituted in 1985. SVCE offers ten Undergraduate Degree Courses in Automobile Engineering, Bio-Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Marine Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and ten Postgraduate Degree Courses in Applied Electronics, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Communication Systems, Computer and Communication, Computer Science and Engineering, Internal Combustion Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, and Master of Computer Applications. Eleven departments are recognized by Anna University Chennai as Research Centres. A Technology Innovation Centre is also housed in the Campus with abundant infrastructure facilities for carrying out research activity in the field of Fuel Cells.
