Invites application for Director – Technical
The incumbent’s key role will be to ensure and strengthen the safety; health; environment and welfare focus and drive its strategy across the plant locations. He will be part of the management team as well as one of the Directors on the Board of the company that leads the turnaround story of Panacea Biotec Limited. More specifically, the incumbent’s key responsibilities will be that of an Occupier as defined under the Factories Act 1948 and include – developing and executing safety, health and environment plans.
Key Responsibilites :
- Evolving and effectively executing the overall S.H.E. (Safety, Health and Environment) Strategy, in line with the defined business objectives and develop and implement S.H.E policy.
- Ensure Compliance to The Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and rules thereunder as amended from time to time.
- Ensure Compliance to The Narcotics & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, Drugs (Price Control) Order, Weights & measures Act, and Drugs & Magic Remedies ( objectionable Advertisements ) Act, 1954.
- Ensure compliance to The Factories Act, 1948 across plant locations and the duties imposed by the Factories Act 1948 are executed with due diligence.
- Ensure that process and systems are in place for execution of day to day activities.
- Ensuring consistent delivery through proactive planning and forecasting.
- Maintaining value systems of the organization.
- Ensure that an adequate programme of safety, health and environment is established and that the safety culture is encouraged amongst employees.
- Liaise with the S.H.E. Managers across plant locations over the full range of their duties and responsibilities, with respect to inspection, audits and report recommendations.
- Ensure adequate means of distributing and communicating safety, health, environment and welfare information obtained from various sources regarding new legislation requirements and new techniques of accident prevention.
- To bring company related safety, health and environment matters to the Board of Directors at regular intervals.
- Set a personal example at all times by using the correct personal protective clothing / equipment and following all safety requirements and procedures.
Qualification :
- Graduate Engineer in any discipline or M.Pharm with 25+ years of experience in operations and preferably in a life sciences or pharmaceutical organization of repute.
- MBA would be an added benefit.
