O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh (Chhattisgarh)
O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) has been established through an Act of Legislature of Chhattisgarh Government in August 2014. It is promoted by Jindal Steel and Power Limited (J5PL), a part of USS 18 billion OP Jindal Group. The university aims to impart value-based, innovation-driven education and training programmes to empower the youth. It will have faculties for Engineering and Technology, Science, Education, Management, Physical Education and Community Education. The O.P. Jindal Institute of Technology at Punjipathra, Raigarh will now become a constituent part of O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh. The institute is running B.E. programmes in Civil, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering
O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh is the second university of the Jindal Group. First being the O.P. Jindal Global University at Sonipat (Haryana), a University Grants Commission (UGC) accorded non-profit university. It was established in the year 2009 as a philanthropic initiative by Mr Naveen Jindal, the Founding Chancellor in the memory of his father, Shri Om Prakash Jindal. It promotes global curriculum and programmes through a world-class faculty and its educational collaborations worldwide.
The vision of O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh is to become a world-class university creating an excellent talent pool in diverse fields for advancement of knowledge leading to sustainable development.
The O.P. Jindal University, Raigarh issues this notification for appointment of its Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor being the academic and administrative head is expected to be a visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative and educational capabilities.
The appointment will initially be for a period of two years. The compensation package will not be a bar for deserving candidates and shall be at par with the best private universities of the country.
