Call for Research Chair
NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF DESIGN (NID)
Jamsetji Tata Chair for Universial Desing at NID
The National Institute of Design invites national and international appilications /nominations for the Jamsetji Tata Chiar for universial Desing, based at its Ahmedabad campus.
The Jamsetji Tata Chair for universal Design has been set up by NID in collabaration with the Jamsetji Tata Trust to work towords sustainable socio- cultural and economic development of the country. The Chair will engage in research, practice and teaching in the area of Universal Design at NID.
Duration
The duration of the Chair will be for a period of two years, subject to performance evaluation at the end of each year.
Eligibility
The applicants should have relevant and substantial academic and / or professional experience of at least 15 years, in the area of Universal Design. While doctorate is not necessary, proof of research is.
Emoluments and Facilities
The candidate will receive a monthly honorarium broadly at par with what the best educational institutions pay to Professors. The incumbent may be provided accommodation on campus, subject to availability.
Selection Procedure
Prospective candidates will be invited for interview to be conducted at NID by an expert panel specially constituted for this purpose.
