Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
> To be the primary point of contact for stations on all matters relating to pricing strategies. Consequently, ensuring a constant flow of information between stations and the regional headquarters as well as engaging Revenue Management in a coordinated and unified manner to attain timely and competitive pricing

> To compile and analyze reporting figures of station performances, pricing trends (eg: Paxis, MIDT, AOS reports etc.), competitor activities, market share and overall industry figures from across the Indian Subcontinent. Ultimately, to formulate in-depth understanding of trends of KQ performance against the industry from a regional perspective in order to support the Area Manager in ascertaining the required strategic measures

> To initiate analysis to identify the viability and strategic trends of uncharted markets, currently not operated by. Consequently, to support the Area Manager in formulating action plans for market penetration with the necessary performance and industry figures

> To propose and critically to track marketing initiatives executed by India and Sri Lanka stations. This is to ensure effective utilization of the allocated budget and to track returns from specific initiatives

> Wherever possible, to develop and maintain close relationships with NGOs, Tourism and Travel Authorities as well as members of the media. This is in order identify means to better promote and expand the market share of KQ in India and Sri Lanka

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Graduate in any disciple
  • Minimum 3-5 years in Revenue Management and marketing from airline background experience or travel industry
  • Strategic thinker and comfortable in applying strategy to marketing, especially with the use of relevant data to substantiate initiatives
  • Experience in marketing and brand strategy development
  • Able to work well under pressure with a proactive attitude to accomplish tasks
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal is of absolute importance
  • Competent computer skills of all basic software

This position will manage the Kenya-Airways.com website for respective Market, in an effort To stimulate direct sales over these channels and together with Marketing, securing the best positioning and promotion of the site, setting benchmarked conditions enabling him/her to reach the targets set for these channels.

Responsibilities will include

  • Overall planning of e-commerce sales strategy including that of social media
  • Positioning and promoting the use of internet kiosks in all on-line offices
  • Improvement of technical features as they become available
  • Promote and improve ICI
  • Increase the website’s visits and improve the look to book ratios
  • Retain online customers’ loyalty and prompt them to re-purchase

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Bachelors degree in a business related area with 3 years experience in marketing/internet related applications, preferably in the airline business. Fluency in English and strong understanding of current Online Sales/ Marketing concepts, strategy and best practice.

Sales Manager (Ahmedabad) – IRC 24187
Deliver Profitable revenue for Ahmedabad by Selling the KQ products, Services and network by penetrating the business and leisure market segments through the direct and indirect sales channels.

Responsibilities will include

  • Analyze market performance, identify the gaps and roll out long and short term plans to meet the revenue objectives
  • Maintain competitive structural and tactical pricing that maximizes revenue, yield and market share
  • Roll out trade incentive schemes and corporate discount schemes to drive revenue growth, build loyalty and long term brand affinity
  • Reduce CRS costs to ensure reduction in cost of sale
  • Build and maintain market presence in business and leisure travel segments. Focus on key relationships with the trade, corporate customers and government
  • Forward Monthly market performance reports highlighting reasons for the delivered performance. Disseminate information on opportunities for new routes, increase of frequency to build newtraffic flows
  • Work cross functionally and participate in meetings with Revenue Management, Business Performance and Marketing towards meeting the overall goals and attaining excellent customer care

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in commerce or related field with 5 years experience in the airline business of which 2 years must have been in a management position. Diploma in Sales and Marketing. Fluency in English. High Level Influencing, People Management, strong analytical, communication and highly developed interpersonal and negotiating skills are required.

Marketing Manager (SA & ME) – IRC 25652
This position will Drive Customer Preference and Loyalty in order to grow revenue, by analyzing markets and proposing strategies; implement those strategies through market research, product development, advertising, and sales promotions within the Region while at the same time involving KQ in sustainable community development within the KQ network.

Responsibilities will include
Define, design, develop and implement marketing strategies within the region in order to achieve laid out objectives. Budgeting and follow through, build KQ Brand through numerous proven methods, communication with media as well as other stakeholders to maintain a positive public image. Co-ordinate CSR committee in order to identify projects and implement them in line with KQ focus areas.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Marketing. Membership/Certification – Relevant Marketing Societies. CIM Accreditation, 5 years experience in a dynamic market environment, experience in handling this vast market is an added advantage. Must be a fast learner with proven organizational and presentation skills who will thrive in a changing environment and work in a self directed manner. Candidate must be a team player and result as well as customer oriented who is proactive and innovative. Fluency in English is a must.
