Vice Chancellor (VC) is the Principal Academic and Administrative officer reporting to the Governing Body chaired by the Chancellor. He / she will be the Chairman of Academic Council and Board of Management for the University. The maximum tenure for the post of VC is 3 years or up to the age of 68 years, whichever is earlier.

The Vice Chancellor is expected to support the University’s mission for promoting teaching and research at the highest levels of excellence. The candidate should he a distinguished educationist or an eminent scholar with a PhD in any discipline having at least 15 years’ experience as Professor or equivalent position in a reputed national / international institution. He/she must be widely acclaimed with a record as evidenced by refereed journal publications, project grants and awards. He/she must be an effective communicator with good inter-personal skills and a demonstrated track record of administrative experience. Aside from academic credibility, he/she must also possess clear thinking and outstanding leadership qualities with the highest ethical standards, integrity and professionalism.

The VC should have the ability to promote the University at the national and International level, for fund raising and development of strong linkages with academic institutions of repute, Government and industry. He/she should be able to create a vibrant, engaging and creative environment for effective teaching/learning and stimulating high quality research.

Compensation package will not be a constraint for the appropriate candidate.
