Applications are invited for the Positions of Project Trainee / Junior Project Trainee in the J.R.D. Tata Memorial Library as detailed below.
(i) PROJECT TRAINEES
Advt. No.R(IB)008-2/2012. No. of Positions: 10 (GEN-6, OBC-3, SC-1) (one of the positions is reserved for physically challenged persons [reserved for Orthopaedically Handicapped. If suitable candidate is not available under this category, Hearing impaired persons would be considered].

(a) Project Trainee [Library Information Management (LIM)] (No. of Positions: 8)
Minimum Educational qualification : A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline followed by M.L.I.Sc. or Master’s Degree in any discipline with B.L.I.Sc. or Associateship in Documentation and Information Science awarded by DRTC / NISCAIR or its equivalent.

(b) Project Trainee [Electronic Resource Management (ERM)] (No. of Positions: 2)
Minimum Educational qualification : BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science or Electronics or Information Technology or MCA.
For (a) and (b) above : The General/OBC applicants should have secured a minimum of First Class or equivalent as declared by the university in the qualifying examination. SC applicants with a pass class will also be considered.
Duration and Stipend: Duration of the training is 2 years and the stipend is Rs.7500/- p.m. (fixed) during the first year and Rs.8000/- p.m. (fixed) during the second year subject to satisfactory work and conduct.

(ii) JUNIOR PROJECT TRAINEE
Advt No.R(IB)008-3/2012. No. of Positions: 5 (GEN-4.0BC-1)
Minimum educational qualification: Job Oriented Course (JOC) in Library & Information Science (10+2) awarded by State Council of Vocational Education or Diploma in Library and Information Science (10+2+2) awarded by the Department of Technical Education. The General/OBC applicants should have secured a minimum of first class or equivalent as declared by the Council/Board in the qualifying examination.
Duration and Stipend: Duration of the training is 2 years and the stipend is Rs.4000/- p.m. (fixed) during the first year and Rs.4500/- p.m. (fixed) during the second year subject to satisfactory work and conduct.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
1) Applicants who posses the minimum qualification and satisfy requirements specified may apply.
2) Applicants who have completed all the requirements for the minimum educational qualification and are expecting the results may also be considered provided that they are able to present the proof of acquiring the qualification requirements at the time of appearing for the written test if selected.
