Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a Grant-in-Aid Institution supported by the Department of Science and Technology. IACS, a premier Research Institute of India, is in search of an Outstanding Scientist/Academician below the age of 55 years on January 01,2013, for selecting as the Director of the Institute, Potential candidates should posses creditable academic records, outstanding research performance as evidenced by publications and other outputs and a capacity to provide leadership to a group of highly performing research professionals. The person should have experience of directing/coordinating frontline researh programmes at the national and international levels, ability to provide leadership in nourshing basic research and experience in the administrative matters of a research Institution with a celebrated legacy.
Pay Scale : HAG 67,000 – (annual increment @ 3%) – 79,000 plus allowances and other benefits as admissible to Central Government employees stationed in Kolkata. The appointment shall be made for five years initially and is extendable.
