Job Description
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have successful track record of storage support tools development experience of 4 – 5Yrs in similar environments with good communication skills. This development engineer must be experienced and proficient in the following technical and programming disciplines:

· Python Scripting
· Django or any web framework architecture
· Database( Oracle/Mysql )
· SAN Files Systems
· Perl Scripting
· Linux/Unix

Experience in these additional areas is a plus, but not specifically required:
· C programming language
· Java programming language
· Javascript
· TCP/IP and LAN/WAN architectures
· Data Modeling
· BASH / PHP/Shell Scripting.

This development engineer will be responsible for:
· Architect, design, develop, test and debug the tools as per the requirements.
· Coordinating development activities with cross-functional groups working on adjacent projects and systems
· Deliver high-quality support tools that:
· Speed a support engineer’s time-to-productivity
· Deflect in-coming cases to customer self-help tools
· Successfully close cases via end-to-end automation
· Analyze crash dump files and auto-correlates them to known defects
· Deliver cases to support engineers wrapped in meaningful and useful troubleshooting information
· Speed case resolution and drives down cost-per-case through end-to-end automation
· Leverage in-coming automated support information to build value-add audits and reports

Projects expected during the first 12 months in this role would include but not be limited to:
Create automated scripts that start with system alerts, and result in automated collection of troubleshooting data that either fully resolves, or assists in the resolution of support cases
· Create tools for software/hardware deployment activities.
· Provide tools for proactive monitoring
· Automated OPTcase creation, customer transmission, and closure for administrative alarms and alerts that don’t require Support Center intervention
· Create a Crash Dump analysis tool that connects crash signature to known defects without Engineering intervention

Qualifications

Education: BE /BTECH/or Masters Degree is an advantage, but a demonstrable track record of success in similar roles is more important than specific education credentials.

In this job role, the candidate engage with the assigned global SI partner(s) to
a) Develop and implement the technical enablement and certification plan on HP Storage products

· Provide presales technical support to partners on global deal pursuits and help shape deals by cross-selling and/or up-selling on HP Storage technology.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
· Technical University or Bachelor’s degree
· At least 8 – 12 years experience in technical consultative selling and solution architecting
· Excellent verbal and written skills.
· Industry certifications in storage (e.g. EMC, HDS, HP Storage, etc) preferred

Description
PPS CSS is accountable for the development and delivery of support for HP consumer and commercial products and for the strategic development of product quality programs. Within this organization, the Global Reporting team provides delivery of key performance indicators, and related scorecards, across all CSS. This team provides (1) regular reports of customer, operational, financial and product quality metrics to all regions, BUs, support channels and teams within PPS; (2) leadership in identifying the reporting and metric needs of the business and (3) input to the analytics and reporting strategies of IT tools and applications.

The manager of the Global Reporting team will be responsible for leading a team of reporting analysts completing these tasks. This manager will be accountable for leading a team of approximately 15 analysts in providing over 200 reports a month, within SLAs agreed upon with CSS regions and teams. The manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of all reports, training on tools and applications for employees, and for work load balancing.

Key deliverables:
Approximately 200 scorecards/reports per month related to PPS CSS customer metrics, operational metrics, financial and product quality metrics.
Presentations, graphs and charts for PPS CSS senior management.
Simple tools and application development for easy slicing of data.
Contribution to regional staff discussion on reporting and analytics needs and formats.
Input for analytics and reporting needs for PPS CSS IT POR programs.
Maintain high levels of Timeliness and Accuracy in report deliverables.
Interact with a variety of stakeholders geographically located.
Team management skills around maintaining focus, motivating the team and overall development through regular 1:1s.

Qualifications
