GAIL (India) limited Is looking for experienced professionals in the LNG Shipping business having requisite qualifications / experience as mentioned below for providing Advisory services for shipping business:

Vacancies for Advisor in GAIL (India) Limited

Discipline: Advisor (Shipping)

Qualification & Experience:

• The candidate must be a Master Mariner and should have an overall experience of minimum 20 years in shipping industry, out of which minimum 3 years’ experience should be m LNG shipping
• Should have sailing experience on cryogenic ships for at least two years.
• Must have shore experience of post fixture management on behalf of Charterers for at least 3 years covering monitoring of various parameters for the LNG vessel stipulated in the Time Charter Agreement such as Speed Warranties. Boil-off consumption, filling ration, Timeliness. Fuel Consumption, Cargo Transfer etc expenencein issues
  related to compatibility of LNG vessels at different terminals.
• Exposure m dealing with various LNG contract documents such as Time Charter Party Agreements. Loan Agreement, Ship Management Agreement etc.
• Prevailing National and International regulations for LNG shipping (e.g. Classification societies, IMO. SIGTTO Guidelines, Port requirements etc

Note: Candidates with experience in LNG shipbuilding would be given extra weightage.

The engagement of Advisor will be on full time contract basis. GAIL at Its own discretion may relax any or all of the above criteria for selectionofasuttable candidate

Careers for Advisor (HSE) in GAIL (India) Limited

Qualification & Experience: The candidate should have minimum Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical Discipline from an institution of repute. Post Graduate diploma in Industrial Safety is desirable

MainTasks:

1. To advise and assist HSE Department in reviewing the existing policies, guidelines and procedures and framing new policies, guidelines and procedures wherever required as per best international practices
2. To advise and assist HSE Department on Parliamentary/ Government/ Ministry related matters and liaison with them wherever required
3. To advise and assist HSE Department in incident/ accident investigation
4. To visit GAIL installations to overview their emergency preparedness and implementation of HSE Management System
5. To advise and assist HSE Department in improving the HSE Management System in GAIL

Experience:

1. The applicant should possess minimum 25 years of Post Qualification experience in large Oil & Gas/ Refinery/Hydrocarbon Industry in Public/Government/ Private listed organization.
2. The applicant should have worked at least for 02 years in Senior Management position in O&M/ HSE functions in the above organizations.
3. The applicant should have knowledge of various National/ International Standards applicable to above industries related to Health, Safety & Environment.
4. It is desirable that the applicant should be conversant with the design and O&M aspects of Fire Protection and Fire Fighting Systems.

Maximum Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as on 01.08.2014

The engagement of Advisor will be on part time contract basis.

In addition to above, candidates may also be considered for being empanelled as Safety Experts on call basis, for getting an independent view / expert opinion during HSE Sub-Committee meetings and other important meetings/ occasions as considered appropriate by HSE Department.
