We are a JV company between Delphi Corporation and TVS group. We have set up a factory for production of Common Rail Diesel Fuel Injection Systems plant at Oragadam, about 40 km from Chennai. This is a high precision, technology oriented venture. We are on the lookout for experienced ENGINEERS preferably from Mass Production, Precision engineering industry / Automotive industry for the following openings:
PROJECT MANAGERS Accountable for overall project management involving cross functional teams for development and industrialization of common rail systems with following major roles: – * Lead & apply development process, gate reviews & support engineering to run design reviews * Ownership of project from Kick off to launch to meet customer & business objectives * Develop project plans w.r.t project scope, timeliness, cost, resources, risk, quality, procurement, etc. * Support customer meetings & manage/ track all prototype phases A,B,C upto & including PPAP, followed by ramp up tracking. LAUNCH MANAGER Responsibility at plant level to deliver flawless project launches meeting committed objectives & launch metrics with following major roles:- * Working closely with functional dept’s for production readiness and launch activity * Interface with customers, support review meetings, Audit, track PV sample manufacture, validation, PAAP, rampup, line site reviews, closure of actions etc. * With launch AQE, ensure application of APQP; timely completion of customer & internal PPAP and change control process * Support PDP project and design reviews. TECHNICAL TRAINERS (Mech & Elec-1) Flair for on the job and class room training: Exposure to ISO TS16949,5s, step 4 TPM activities and training of apprentices. For Mechanical: Essential knowledge of CNC Machining-Milling, Turning, Grinding, Metal cutting, removal etc: exposure to heat treatment, de-burring. For Electrical: Maintenance & operations of CNC, VMC, DC etc: exposure to PLC, automation and robotics: General Electric/ Electronic knowledge like programming, circuit, etc SENIOR ENGINEER / ENGINEER For Mechanical Maintenance: Preventive & breakdown Maintenance of production Machines like CNC, VMC, SPM, all types of Grinding Machines & General Purpose Machines. Also Maintenance of utilities. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE s S11 & 2: BE (Mechanical) with MBA (Optional) with 13-18 years of which a minimum of 2 years should be in project / launch management. Excellent communication and presentation skills. SI 3: BE (Mechanical/EEE) with 7-13 years experience or DME / DEEE with 10-18 years with min. 5 years as a technical trainer & preferably 3 years production experience, with fluency in Tamil. SI 4: BE (Mechanical) with 2-7 years or DME with 9-15 years of experience. The relevant experience & expertise shall determine the appropriate position. Emoluments will be attractive. Maintenance – Mechanical and Electrical (Engineer / Sr Engineer/ Asst Manager to Sr.Manager) Responsible for maintenance of CNC machines lite VMCs/SPMs, machine fools etc. Experience in VFDs ond Servo driven conveyors, Automation, Robotics, Gantries, PC based Fuel Injection Test machines, Pneumaticacs and Hydraulic Power packs will be preferred. Experience in maintenance of Heat Treatment Furnaces, Process equipments, shall be desirable. |

Quality Engineering (Engineer/ Sr Engr/ Asst Manager & Manager to DGM) Responsible for quality management activities like in process quality, supplier quality, customer and field quality with an approach to achieve Zero Defect. Should have commanding knowledge in SPC, MSA, PFMEA, APOP, PPAP etc. besides application of problem solving techniques such as Why-Why analysis, QC story, DOE etc. |

Production (Engineer/ Sr Engr/ Asst Manager & Manager to DGM) Responsible for mass production of components/ products meeting customer requirement in terms of quality, delivery & cost. Should have experience in high precision machining ond grinding processes using CMC, etc. Flair in maintaining Total Employee Involvement & morale shall be desirable. |

Methods Engineering (Engineer/ Sr Mgr/Asst Mgr to Sr. Manager) Responsible for speedy establishment of Manufacturing processes, shop floor problem solving method to ensure zero losses, Managing Daily Production with constant reduction of cycle time of bottleneck stages. Experience in machining and grinding processes using CNC machines, exposure to Heat Treatment process, Industrial Engineering etc will be desirable. Exposure to Electrical and Electronics maintenance preferred.
