M/s.Cochin Shipyard Ltd, a leading shipyard in India (for more details please visit our website www.cochinshipyard.com), is planning construction of a 12 streamer (12 x 8 km), Dual source Seismic Vessels for an Indian Owner. In this regard Yard intends to take the Services of a ‘Marine Seismic Consultant’ for a period of 30 months, extendable according to requirements of Yard.
The Seismic Consultant shall possess sufficient experience (10-12 years) in the field of Marine Seismic operations. Working knowledge of Seismic Equipments, Positioning devices, Data Acquisition, Quality control, On-board Processing systems are desirable. The working knowledge of the Marine Seismic deployment machineries, basic understandings of Seismic computing hardware’s are also desirable. The person shall be conversant in English language and shall possess good communicational skills.
The consultant would be required to aid the shipyard In deciding the Seismic equipment specifications and for detailed design of the items onboard the ship. The consultant would also involve in the Seismic aspects of Shipbuilding and play coordinating role for the proving trials of the ship. Consultancy groups who can deploy personnel with the above mentioned qualification can also respond with the relevant details.
