BITS Pilani offers, from its campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai, formal education and research programmes in Physical Sciences, Engineering, pharmacy. Social Sciences and Management. With a view to establish itself as one of India’s top research-led universities and be amongst the leading technical universities in the world, BITS Pilani has embarked upon an aggressive plan to expand its PG and Ph.D. research programmes, while consolidating its UG programmes.

Candidates with a recent Ph.D. in the respective discipline will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor, while those with post-PhD experience of 6 years or more may be considered for higher positions.

Candidates who only have an ME/MPhil/MBA in a discipline other than Biological Sciences, Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, but who are interested in pursuing a Ph. D., may be considered for appointment as Lecturer for up to six years to enable them to contribute to teaching while pursuing a Ph.D. degree. Faculty positions off-campus
BITS Pilani offers opportunities to individuals with outstanding academic background to pursue an academic career as faculty members in off-campus programmes (WILP) and mentoring students from the institute’s on-campus programmes undergoing “Practice School” in industry.
The institute is looking for faculty in following disciplines, and to be working from centres at Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune.

Disciplines: Computer Science, Software Engg., Mechanical Engg., Manufacturing Engg., Management, Mathematics, Electrical & Electronics Engg., Chemical Engg.

Candidates with an ME (or equivalent) will be considered for appointment as Lecturers. Those with adequate relevant work experience, or with a PhD, will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor.

Candidates with an MSc in Mathematics or Physics, with a strong interest to pursue a career in Software Engg. or Computer Sc. will be considered for appointment as “Instructors”.
