Established in October 2011 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act of 2009, AURO UNIVERSITY is focused on integral and transformational education providing value-based education that develops not only the mind but also the physical, vital and spiritual aspects of students, as we help them transform from learners to leaders.
Auro University seeks to appoint the Provost, as the academic leader of the university and who reports to the President for overall development, research and institutional advancement, financial management and future strategic direction of the University. The Provost will embrace and execute the University’s Vision, Mission and Values, bringing thought-leadership, commitment and energy to deliver on the University’s mission for all stakeholders: parents, students, faculty, community and business and industry.
The Provost will have high academic credibility and a strong understanding and passion for driving outstanding teaching and research as the core focus of the University. The candidate must have an international outlook, strong decision making capability and an approachable, transparent leadership style. The ideal candidate will possess an innovative and strategic approach that provides the University dynamic, proactive and visionary leadership to enhance the University’s distinctiveness, globally.
We seek a person of highest level of competence, integrity, morals and institutional commitment to be appointed as Provost. The Provost should possess a doctorate, with a minimum of 10 years of experience as Dean/Professor in a university system, or, similar experience in an equivalent position in a reputed research and/or academic organization. Experience of working in a national level and international institution will be an added advantage.
